NAFSA: Association of International Educators is the world’s largest organisation dedicated to international education and academic exchange. Founded in 1948 in the United States, NAFSA annually brings together thousands of professionals from higher education institutions, government agencies, non-governmental organisations, and other stakeholders involved in the internationalisation of education.

Its annual conference, recognised as the largest global event in the field of international education, serves as a privileged meeting point for the sharing of best practices, innovations, and strategies, as well as an essential platform for the development of institutional partnerships.

With a strong commitment to themes such as sustainability, inclusion, and international cooperation, NAFSA plays a central role in promoting a more connected, equitable, and future-oriented higher education sector. Above all, it is a space for global dialogue, professional development, and the building of strong international networks.

Within the scope of USA Portugal Campus initiative, the Erasmus+ Portuguese National Agency for Education and Training, in partnership with Fulbright and FLAD, annually organises Portugal’s participation at NAFSA through the national pavilion Study & Research in Portugal.
